Raven M. Barron
There are many different motivations for entering the practice of law. For Raven Barron, the motivator was a desire to help families, spurred by her own childhood experiences. Raven learned early, and firsthand, about how the law can be used to bring families together.
Driven by her own experience, Raven wanted to make Adoption a positive experience for other North Carolina families. A native of Morganton, she returned to the Burke and Catawba County area to practice law after attending college at UNC-Chapel Hill and law school at Wake Forest. During law school, she served as a Guardian ad Litem volunteer for the 25th Judicial Circuit (Burke, Catawba, and Caldwell Counties), protecting the interests of children in court proceedings. This experience intensified her commitment to working with families and children.
After working as a sole practitioner for a number of years, Raven joined a respected Hickory law firm before returning to solo practice in June 2019 at Raven M. Barron, PLLC. She concentrates her practice in adoption, family law, estate planning, and real estate. She continues to serve in the Guardian ad Litem program, now as an Attorney Advocate in juvenile court, and also as a GAL in guardianship proceedings.
When not practicing law or volunteering in the community, Raven enjoys spending time with her husband and family at their Catawba County home.
